"XRAY is pleased to present the improved and refined M18T PRO, a re-designed version of the ultra-popular M18T made with higher-performance racing in mind. The progressive design embodies an enhanced driving experience from the race-oriented high-performance graphite chassis and top deck... through the lengthened wheelbase... to the world-renowned top-secret HUDY Spring Steel™ driveshafts... and much much more. The M18T PRO was borne of racing DNA to challenge your racing skills on any track.
High performance. Micro size. Undeniably XRAY."
- Dipl. Eng. Juraj Hudy, Chief Designer, XRAY
The release of the first revolutionary shaft-driven 1/18 micro truck - the XRAY M18T - was a huge success for XRAY, and quickly exceeded all expectations in terms of performance and customer satisfaction. The M18T has captured the hearts of the micro racing community, from drivers running for fun to the most hardcore racing enthusiasts... instantly making the M18T a modern legend. The XRAY M18T has spawned a multitude of micro-focused aftermarket companies, and has supported the creation of very active micro racing communities worldwide. As with all of its ongoing developments, the M18T has also undergone close scrutiny by the XRAY Engineering Department to bring forward the next stage in its evolution - a more race-oriented professional micro truck, the M18T PRO.
When it comes to setting new standards in the RC industry, XRAY has always been at the forefront of bringing new and innovative engineering ideas and solutions, raising the bar and always quickly becoming a new market standard for others to follow.
M18T PRO Chassis
The M18T PRO chassis is all new, designed specifically for high-performance racing. The 2.0mm thick chassis has been optimized for strength in high-grip racing conditions, while still being flexible enough for low-grip track conditions. The length of the chassis has been optimized for better racing and jumping; it is now 16mm longer.
The chassis is CNC-machined from the premium high-grade carbon fiber (graphite) material on ultra-precise German CNC routing machines, ensuring the highest precision and tolerances in all critical areas.
An inline 6-cell battery pack sits on the left side of the chassis, with composite battery holders ensuring the pack stays in place.
M18T PRO Top Deck
The top deck has been completely redesigned and re-engineered. CNC-machined from premium high-grade carbon fiber (graphite), the top deck is much better suited to survive hard impacts while keeping set-up and geometry unchanged.
The top deck features a smart design to ensure that all bulkhead and arm mounting screws are easily and instantly accessible.
M18T PRO Battery Holder
The 6-cell inline battery pack is held in place by a CNC-machined battery holder made from premium carbon fiber, completed with a stylish, milled 'X' The chassis features battery backstops to keep the the pack in place even after serious crashes. The battery stops may be mounted in two different positions to accommodate side-by-side or inline battery packs.
M18T PRO Drive Shafts
The composite drive shafts of the M18T have been replaced with the HUDY Spring Steel™ drive shafts. Manufactured from world-renowned top-secret HUDY Spring Steel™, these race-quality drive shafts are the smallest in the world, exclusively manufactured by HUDY. The drive shaft have been strategically lightened to reduce rotating mass without compromising strength or durability.
M18T PRO Drivetrain
The ultra-efficient drivetrain from the coveted M18T has been carried over to the M18T PRO, as it has proven itself to be the most efficient and effective micro car drivetrain system. The inline, super-efficient single drive shaft drivetrain features an optimized internal ratio, and high-speed ball-bearings for great efficiency.
The original aluminum main drive shaft has been replaced by a CNC-machined & hand-ground main drive shaft of high-grade graphite. Being equal to the weight of the original, this translates into much better acceleration and vibration-free power transmission between front and rear gearboxes.
Also new to the M18T PRO is a steel spur gear that really shines when used in dusty and/or outdoor conditions. An aluminum or steel pinion gear (available separately) must be used with the steel spur gear.
M18T PRO Nickel-plated Pivot Balls
New nickel-plated pivot balls replace the original composite versions, and are very good when running in dusty conditions. If prefered you can still use standard composite pivot balls which are included in the kit as well.
M18T PRO Toe Adjustment
The M18T PRO features an adjustable turnbuckle set for front and rear toe adjustment.
M18T PRO Motor Holder
The M18T PRO motor holder is CNC-machined from high-strength aluminum, and is strategically machined for optimum strength, durability, and lightness. Allows the use of 300-size micro motors.
M18T PRO Springs
The spring set of the NT18T nitro micro truck has been included in the M18T PRO kit. The set included 2 front springs (short) and 2 rear springs (long) of medium hardness.

RC Car Action Magazine - July 2008

"I love kits, and anyone who has built an XRAY vehicle will agree that the building experience is nothing short of a privilege."
"The M18T PRO defies the laws of physics with its virtually drag-free drivetrain; it gets all the motor's power to ground... Overall, I was impressed with how the M18T PRO handled the power, and I didn't have any drivetrain issues throughout testing."
"The M18T PRO cornered sharply at all speeds and didn't show any signs of understeer."
"The little truck amazed me with its super-stable jumping ability. Getting the timing down to clear the sequential doubles in the infield was easy, and the truck flew fairly level most of the time."
"I really noticed the benefits of the longer wheelbase on the track's rough sections. The truck felt more planted, and it didn't buck around as badly as some of my other 1/18-scale trucks."
"The M18T PRO took tremendous abuse during testing... The truck was run over several times by larger vehicles, rammed into hard PVC pipes at full speed, and took more than its fair share of tumbles and crashes. The M18T PRO's body looked worse for wear, but the chassis, suspension and drivetrain rolled away without damage."
"Like all of XRAY's kits, the M18T PRO includes high-quality materials, and all of the molded parts are trimmed and fit perfectly. Class-leading instructions will get you through the building process without a glitch, and several of the assembly steps are already completed."
"I give XRAY props for designing what, in my opinion, is the best 1/18-scale, 4WD racing truck on the market. I felt this way about the standard M18T, but the PRO pushes its performance to a whole new level. The high-quality materials, excellent parts fit and class-leading instructions make XRAY's top mini a pleasure to build, and the driving experience is equally enjoyable. The M18T PRO delivers consistent and responsive handling that you expect from a pro-level model, and it proved durable in testing."
