Shipping Policy

RC XRAY uses USPS (primary) and UPS as our shipping carriers. We prefer using USPS over UPS for most orders because the shipping costs are far less for two day shipping. In most cases, we ship by USPS Priority Mail. This allows us to offer free shipping on all orders shipped within the United States.

If we have the XRAY kit in stock, we will ship your order by 11:00 am EST the next day. All US domestic customers should receive their order in three days. If we do not have your XRAY RC car in stock, we will place an order with RC America the same business day. RC America will usually deliver the XRAY kit within 4 business days unless it is on backorder. If this is the case, we will contact you.

Here are some approximate guidelines on how long it will take to receive a 7 pound XRAY kit within the United States. Most locations will receive their shipment in 2 days.

International Shipping

We do ship orders internationally. We use USPS Priority Mail International for these shipments because it is far cheaper than UPS. If you would like to order XRAY kits or parts from us and you are located outside of the United States, please contact us so we can handle your order personally. We will ask you for your mailing address so we can provide a shipping cost. We are not able to offer free shipping like we do for US orders, but we do discount shipping for international orders if you order a RC car or kit.

A lot of customers ask us if we can declare the value of the shipment to reduce the customs charge. We can do this, but there are some things you should know. USPS does not care what value we declare for the shipment unless it exceeds the retail price of item. This value represents the amount of money USPS will reimburse us if your shipment is lost. This money is then passed to the customer. For example, let's say you buy a $300 RC kit and want us to declare the shipment value at $100. If USPS somehow loses the shipment, you will only receive $100 for the $300 kit you never received.

The shipment value is also used by customs in the country we send the package. Customs will tax you based on the value of the shipment. Customs does care what value you declare. It is illegal to declare any value that is less than the retail price. Now, who is liable in this situation? RC XRAY or the customer? The customer is the responsible party and will have to answer to customs.

If you would like to reduce the customs tax on your XRAY order you can ask us to declare whatever value you want but you must understand you are liable. If you are OK with accepting this responsibility, then just let us know when you place your order.
